Peace Beloved! I am I’man Boykin of Sacred Beginnings, LLC. I live to be LOVE in every way possible. A Los Angeles native, and mother of 3 beautiful children, I became a trained Doula under an organization called CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) in 2014. I myself birthed all my children naturally, and I truly have a passion for all things birth. Since the age of 3 years old, I knew I had a calling on my life. Working in birth is literally my assignment and I am truly honored. At that young age, I labeled the calling “a baby doctor.” As time went on, I realized I wanted to work within a more holistic and spiritual approach to the sacred birth experience. After realizing the business behind birth, I decided to focus on getting back to the natural and traditional way of birth. As time went on I realized the callings true label was “Holistic Doula.” I realized the importance of ensuring the women and families were whole, peaceful, blissful and serene during the birth experience.

With the usage of various modalities, as your Birth Advisor, I will provide the mother and family with physical, emotional, spiritual, mental and informational support. I facilitate and promote self-advocacy, informed choice, and effective communication between the family and care providers. I seek to create a cooperative, respectful, and positive atmosphere with members of the birth team so the mother can birth with confidence.

During the postpartum period, as a Postpartum Birth Advisor I will assist the mother in processing her birth experience, answering questions about newborn care and breastfeeding within her scope of practice; as well as referring the family to appropriate sources as needed.

As an advocate for maintaining a sacred space for birthing, Boykin works to ensure the Mother has a healed and healthy wombspace during pregnancy. It is vital that women understand that they are transferring emotions, pain and trauma to their unborn child, if they do not do the proper work to HEAL, it will affect the baby!! The birth experience is a deeper experience for Boykin. She understands that she is not only assisting in births, but she is also assisting in the healing of communities, families, and future generations. It is important that the mothers are given constant emotional and physical support. Boykin is a holistic Birth Keeper, and she works to ensure the Mother is focusing on healing mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Each woman will leave the pregnancy and birthing experience feeling empowered, uplifted and more in LOVE with SELF!! In addition, Boykin is committed to supporting and uplifting the father/partner to ensure they are respected, honored and empowered in the vital role they play.

Maternity Reiki Healing
Yes, Reiki is safe during the pregnancy, and through its calming and relaxing effects on the mother, it helps create a loving and balanced space for the child to grow. Reiki heals to the point of our Karma – that is what we have chosen for ourselves to learn and experience during this life, to put back in balance things we have inflicted on other people through our wrong choices in other lives.
